A while back, I had the privilege of travelling with Bro. Autry Barnhill in a tent meeting to Jacksonville, FL. The time I spent there will forever be ingrained in my memory, since it was where I really began to learn how to pray. During that time, Bro. Barnhill introduced me to a book that he had made called “797 Prayer Helps”. This book was full of phrases from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John that had been arranged so a person could pray according to the words of the scriptures. It was originally formulated for those who had found themselves unaware of what to pray for next. I found this resource so valuable during my time there, that I wanted to share it with the world.
As I compared the scriptures with the words in this book, I also found many more words of the Gospels that were valuable to help a person pray. With permission, I revised and expanded 797 Prayer Helps to 1400 Prayer Helps. The finished book is now available from the links below. You may freely print or copy this resource. It is free to all!
